04 - ½ teaspoon salt
05 - 2 large eggs
06 - 1¾ cups whole milk

09 - ½ cup pure maple syrup
10 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

→ For Serving

11 - Optional: fresh berries, whipped cream, powdered sugar

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat the waffle iron according to manufacturer instructions.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until homogenous.
04 - Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; some lumps are acceptable to avoid overmixing.
05 - Lightly grease the waffle iron. Pour approximately ½ cup of batter per waffle onto the hot iron. Cook each batch until golden brown and crisp, about 4 to 5 minutes.
06 - Remove waffles from the iron and cut each round into quarters.
07 - Melt 2 tablespoons unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in maple syrup and warm the mixture for about 2 minutes. Transfer to a serving bowl.
08 - Arrange waffle quarters on a platter with the syrup dip bowl centered. Add optional fresh berries, whipped cream, or a dusting of powdered sugar as desired.
